Graham Russell and I weren’t made for one another. I was driven by emotion; he was apathetic. I dreamed while he lived in nightmares. I cried when he had no tears to shed. Despite his frozen heart and my readiness to run, we sometimes shared seconds. Seconds when our eyes locked and we saw each other’s secrets. Seconds when his lips tasted my fears, and I breathed in his pains. Seconds when we both imagined what it would be like to love one another. Those seconds left us floating, but when reality knocked us sideways, gravity forced us to descend. Graham Russell wasn’t a man who knew how to love, and I wasn’t a woman who knew how to either. Yet if I had the chance to fall again, I’d fall with him forever. Even if we were destined to crash against solid ground. ReviewOnce again Brittainy C. Cherry delivers another beautifully written book. She somehow always manages to leave me speechless and unable to find the adequate words to write a review. There are no words that I can write to do this book justice. You will without a doubt be hooked from the beginning to the end. If it wasn't because I needed to be at work, I would have finished this book in one sitting. I immediately fell in love with Lucy/Lucille. She was free spirited and her character was perfectly written. I loved that she was so outgoing and how she was willing to help Graham even though he hadn’t been the nicest person to her. She was the girl who felt everything, and I was the man who felt nothing at all. Graham on the other hand was completely opposite from her. He was kinda hateful and complex, but somehow Lucy was able to make him want to become a better person. She pretty much made him want more than what he had previously settled for. I wanted to know what it meant to be a part of her world. To be a man who felt everything. I loved witnessing the all the positive changes that Graham went through even though he was dealing with so much. I was seriously rooting for the two of them and I was hoping that even though they were complete opposites that they would be able to overcome the predicament they found themselves in. Overall, this is a book that I definitely recommend just like every other one in the Elements Series.
