Maria De La Torre is a survivor. Her life has not been paved with streets of gold…but with blood and sacrifice. She may have been there for her soul sister in the Trinity Trilogy but this story is about her life. The life she chooses. The same life someone from her past is trying to take away. Elijah is the last man in the entire world Maria should be with. He’s a dark, gritty, lawless bounty hunter—the exact opposite of the man she loved and lost, the man who gave up everything for her. Only Elijah is not the type of guy to back down. He’s used to getting what he wants and he’s set his sights on the raven-haired seductress. Time is not on Maria and Elijah’s side. There’s a new threat to the soul sister, one Maria never thought she’d have to face again. And this time, the stakes are life and death. Maria quickly learns that the things she wants most in this lifetime may just be the things that have the power to destroy her.

The kiss is feral. He plunders my mouth with his tongue in wild, hedonistic abandon. Both of us drop our drinks to the sand below without a care, preferring to hold on to one another.
Mi culo. Mi cintura. Mis muslos. His hands are all over me. He moves them up my back until both hands are threaded through my hair, holding me in place, while he devours my mouth. His ardent tongue searches for mine, and I comply with equal passion. He tastes of minty beer and man. A mind-melting concoction. The wall between us is gone. Obliterated by his honesty. I can no longer deny this man what he wants. What I want. What we both need. Each other. Eli kisses me so hard, and for so long, my lips are swollen and bruised when he pulls away on a mighty breath. His chest rises with every inhalation. “You can’t stop this,” he murmurs, his lips a succulent snarl of desire. I shake my head and firm my jaw, ready to take whatever he can give me and more. “No. I can’t.” “We are fire and ice, baby. Both run scalding hot when stimulated. I want to make you mine. Make you forget him, and everything and everyone that came before. This heat between us, it’s all-consuming.”
I close my eyes and lean my forehead against his, praying I’m making the right decision. “Burn me,” I whisper against his lips. “Set me on fire.” I press my mouth against his and nibble on the plump bottom lip. “I want to forget. Today, just make me forget.”

Killing Me Softly (A Chicago Mafia Syndicate) (Castaletta Book 3)
by Ali Parker Release Date: February 28th LINKS WILL BE AVAILABLE RELEASE DAY: http://aliparkerbooks.com/book/killing-me-softly-coming-soon-the-castaletta-syndicate-book-3/ ADD TO YOUR TBR: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33285367-killing-me-softly Synopsis: Things are heating up and Vivian’s killer is closer than they think. With Freddy dead and Izzy & D soon to weather Joe’s wrath, things couldn’t be more toxic. At a time when they need to pull together, it would seem that everything is working to pull them apart. When everything comes to a head, Izabella is forced to choose between two of the men she loves, but in doing so... she could possibly lose them both. Excerpt: "Scream my name a few more times, Bella," he mumbled against the side of my neck, his lips so soft, breath so fucking hot. "Don't tell me what to-" He clamped his hand over my mouth and lifted up, his body pressed to mine from the waist down as I lay on my back. "No, no, sweetheart. Not in here. You forget your place." Just the sound of him owning me was almost more than I could bear. I needed him to rule me in some part of my life, to let me exhale and simply be a woman instead of a warrior. The night would be over before I knew it, but I forced myself not to think about it. Sex had the power to heal a broken heart if love was involved, but not for me. We would fuck all night and in the morning... nothing would change. He was the underboss of my syndicate, and I the enforcer, the hired hand. "You want me as much as I want you?" His eyes were filled with a softness that didn't belong between us. It was too much for my broken soul to bear. I bit his finger, smiled and pushed at his chest, rolling him onto his back as I crawled up his body and sat on his lower chest. "Nope. You're just a needy bitch. You know that, right?" The laughter that bubbled up all around us drove spikes into my heart. He was beautiful, majestic. His dark eyes held a million secrets and the sexy smile on his face let me know that no matter what, for the moment, we were kids again. I ran my hands down his thick chest and pressed my nails into the thick muscle as I slid back down his body, rubbing myself along him as I went. He groaned and reached up, sinking his fingers into my hair as he pulled me flush against him, trapping me with one strong arm behind my back. "I'm not letting you ride me tonight." "No?" I let my question hold a cheeky tone that I didn't quite feel. The world was burning up around us, my mother and his dead over the last few weeks and my little brother is missing. Things simply couldn't get worse. I wouldn't let them, couldn't afford to. I would soon become the monster my father hoped I would be capable of being. Death and darkness would be my comfort, not the warm arms of the man I loved. Ryder Rodgers had a plan.He was going to stride into the conference room, do the required song and dance over the next five days, and win the biggest contract of his career. But when he walked in and heard the voice of one of his competitors, all his plans were shot to hell.Harper Denton. She was always on top. In college. First in their class. Always using every advantage to edge him out to win the coveted positions. The only one who could beat him. His academic rival. More like a constant thorn in his side. And his ego’s.When he heard her voice, he was brought back to years before. To the bitter taste of being second best. But the woman who meets his gaze is nothing like the drab wallflower he used to know. Hell no. She was all woman now: curves, confidence, and staggering sex appeal. And no doubt, still brilliant. The fact that she’s gorgeous and bright won’t distract him. This time, Ryder’s determined to be the one on top. But not if Harper can help it.Amazon | Amazon UKHe takes a step toward me then hesitates, but before I can process anything else, his lips are on mine. And not just on mine––not just a brush of lips against lips—but I’m talking all in. Hands on my cheeks, tongue licking between my lips, body pressed against mine, groan in the back of his throat, type of all in. I don’t react at first. I’m stunned. Flabbergasted, my mind reeling from the anger to the surprise to now this without any warning at all. This is Ryder. My rival. My supporter. My crush. The thoughts flicker that this is what I’ve wanted. But they soon shift to panic. To insecurity I don’t kiss well enough. That this is all a joke and I’m the butt of it. But then I feel. Everything. All at once. And I know this is real. It’s like I can’t catch my breath and have too much air all at the same time. My body is on fire. And not just from his touch but from that burn deep inside that feels like it’s exploding and imploding all at once. So this is what it feels like to really be kissed. It’s a fleeting thought before the sensations, the moment, the emotions, consume me whole. His hands move my face to change the angle of the kiss. His fingertips on the line of my jaw singe my skin. His lips move expertly against mine, and all I can do is feel. All I can do is want. Thinking isn’t an option. The anger from before has morphed to want. The adrenaline has recharged with desire. There is no rivalry. There is no graduation ceremony tomorrow I’m missing to catch my flight. There is no panic over if I’ll ever see him again. It’s just him. And me. The scent of his cologne in my nose. The heat of his body against mine. The taste of hunger in his kiss. New York Times Bestselling author K.
